‘‘Training with Dimitris from Titanborn was an incredible experience! As an actor and motion capture performer, I was seeking comprehensive training in combat and firearms to prepare me for industry work, ensuring all safety protocols were covered and essential skills were mastered. Dimitris was able to tailor the training to fit my professional needs, covering a wide range of skills that will assist me throughout all stages of my career. Dimitris is really fun to work with and creates an environment where you feel safe to explore your abilities and try new things.’’

‘‘This was my first time learning about how to handle guns and it was everything I needed and more. We went through how to hold them, different methods of drawing, cycling through different guns, re-loading, checking for jams and even how to re-load with one hand. Obviously above everything Dimitris taught us the core principles and safety of how to handle guns in real life and how to take those concepts with us on set to be safe and more importantly to make sure other people are totally safe and feel safe around us.
It was an epic day.’’

‘‘Learned loads of cool stuff in our Firearms unit at East15.
From walking heel to toe, to how to hold the weapons and how to look like a professionally-trained weapons operative.‘‘

‘I went into firearms not really knowing what to expect. i was anxious because i’m not the kind of person who knows their way around firearms but throughout this term i’ve learned that i shouldn’t be scared of firearms and that i can actually ‘hold them and use them in a way that looks effective on camera! thank you dimitris for teaching me, i’m looking forward to working with you’’

‘‘I really liked the emphases that we had on safety around firearms. Learning how to clear rooms and how to work as a squad was also really useful and interesting! How to create a convincing fight, mixing some stage combat skills with firearms! And also, how to disarm someone.
Doing these classes really opened my eyes to this new skillset and made me interested in working more and furthering my skills to be able to do this at a professional level!’’

‘‘We looked at specific characterisation with firearms working towards building a scene with firearms, (2) looking at building characters that aren't firearms trained at all but being able to ensure compliant firearms, (3) authentically selling firing of firearms.’’

‘‘I didn’t really had experience with fire arms before so, to be honest, I didn’t really know what to expect from the classes. However, what I had in mind was that I would learn what to do if I ever was expected to work with a gun.
What I learned and took with me was how to handle and hold a riffle and also, how to move while holding it. I learned how to, while holding a firearm, walk as a group, to then also approach the scenario of clearing a room. All of this, keeping in mind the safety of everyone and reminding ourselves that we need to treat these guns as real ones.’’

‘‘When we started I was very interested to see how different this would be from my experiences watching films or playing video games.
I learnt safety around guns, proper handling, using the stance, footwork when moving, I learnt how to exchange guns and switch magazines. We also learnt how to conceal a gun and how that affects characters.
I’m looking forward to learning more perhaps more intense scenarios and just working on my form.
I definitely want to bring theses skills with me into my professional career as I really enjoy this type of work!’’

‘‘I'm happy that I am able to now multitask and start to level up on the difficulty of the drills we do without dropping the basic skills.
I am also pleased that I have started to be able to adjust my posture and body to make the scenario believable and natural. Adding some stage combat or dialogue so that our only focus isn't the firearm but multiple tasks.
Thank you so much! I have learned a lot, while it still being fun. I'm excited to keep learning and getting better!!’’

‘‘If I was presented with an opportunity to use these skills I would definitely feel prepared. I hope that I will get to use the skills we learned in the future because I really enjoy doing it! I hope to continue to pick up skills and build on what we’ve learned so far especially the team stuff. I genuinely never thought I would ever hold a gun but now that I have, I feel like I could play some really awesome characters with it.
Thanks a bunch!’’

‘‘What we see in movies seems so easy but the stability and detail of posture is a really important key.’’

‘‘I attended the firearms level one training last month and I thought it was fab. Dimitris was an excellent teacher. He created a safe and comfortable environment to allow me to learn at my own pace. I’ve now stepped away with the knowledge about firearms and the correct etiquette for handling them in future. I’d say it was 10/10!’’

‘‘Really enjoyed the structure, the safety and communication during the session. My favourite part was the movement drills to really test our skills.’’

‘‘Before working with Dimitris I only had very little combat experience and fight choreographies always felt unnatural. With Dimitris' help I now have confidence in my abilities in dramatic combat and have the vocabulary to effectively communicate on set.’’
